the biggest weight 47.6 kg of watermelon
The 25th “dongzheng cup” china national watermelon and melon challenge competition was held in Panggezhuang town of Daxing District at May 25, as series of activities of famous Beijing Daxing Watermelon Festival. There are total 268 competitors from all 14 provinces participated in this competition. The total 16 experts from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, Hebei, Hubei, Shandong, Jiangsu and other provinces research institutes, university were invited for participating judges. The weight, color, sweetness, flesh taste, flavor of Participate watermelon and melon in the competition had been the main index. The watermelon king with weights 47.6 kg was won by Jiangsu Huaiyin Research Institute of Agricultural Sciences. The medium-sized watermelon consolidated group champion was won by Shandong Changle county.
